For the seventh year in a row, Two Brothers Scrap Metal participated in Mineola Middle School’s eWaste Drive, which took place on October 27. This year’s drive brought in 6,280 pounds of electronic waste, compared to 4,240 pounds the previous year.
The purpose of the drive was to help the environment, by providing the community with a responsible means to dispose of their outdated or non-functional electronic devices. By diverting these electronics from landfills, Mineola Middle School and Two Brothers Scrap Metal are actively contributing to the reduction of electronic waste and its harmful impact on the environment. Two Brothers played a vital role by donating the use of one of their containers.
Two Brothers has participated in the eWaste Drive for the past seven years. During that time, the company has hauled away 52,780 pounds — more than 26 tons — of electronic waste. The staff at Mineola Middle School thanked Two Brothers for its support.
