Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a crash which killed a Lake Ronkonkoma woman.
On August 7, Lydia Ciminelli, 72, was crossing Rosevale Avenue, just south of Motor Parkway. At approximately 9:30 a.m, Ciminelli was hit by a vehicle headed southbound, described as a dark-colored sedan. The driver fled the scene.
Ciminelli was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
