Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Patchogue.
Dayanna Reyes-Renderos was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze westbound on Sunrise Highway and exited at exit 51, where her vehicle struck Daniel Hoffmann, who was standing in the middle of the ramp, on March 22 at approximately 4:15 a.m.
Hoffmann, 22, of Farmingdale, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Reyes-Renderos, 19, of East Patchogue, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
