NYS Dems: He’s an ‘Election Denier’
By Hank Russell
Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign threw some names early and often at Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman over the topic of elections, with state Democrats calling the governor’s opponent “an election denier” and a conspiracy theorist.
During a recent appearance on The Stephen Gardner Show, Blakeman was asked about the Democrats’ plans to upend the elections. Blakeman said the Democrats have an “insidious” plan to “bring [illegal immigrants], not only for Democrat votes, but to undermine the culture and values of America.”
Blakeman added that he is for immigration, “as long as it is done the right way,” and the country admits those “who love America and love American values.” When the previous administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were in power, ”they just opened up the gates, let everybody in,” Blakeman said.
“All they had to do was claim political asylum and, without any traditional oversight, they are allowed to live in this country, allowed to live in sanctuary states like New York and California. These taxpayers are paying for these people from other countries and it’s wrong,” Blakeman continued.
According to Blakeman, nearly nine out of 10 Americans said photo identification should be required in order to vote. That, he said, is in stark contrast to the Dems’ “nefarious” scheme.
“They want to rig elections. They want to control elections,” Blakeman said. “And they want people who aren’t citizens, people who aren’t registered to vote, people who may not necessarily live in those communities, to vote and affect the outcomes of elections.”
New York State Democratic Party spokesperson Addison Dick accused Blakeman of spouting conspiracy theories.
“Donald Trump knew what he was doing when he endorsed Bruce Blakeman as ‘100% MAGA,’” Dick said. “Now, as Blakeman spouts the Great Replacement Theory and election-denying BS in the same breath, Trump’s getting a big return on his investment. New Yorkers want a governor who’ll keep bringing costs down and standing up for New York families, not a conspiracy theorist playing the Breitbart Top 40.”
In response, Blakeman said, “Let’s face it, Kathy Hochul funneled billions in taxpayer dollars to illegal migrants and her own running mate [Adrienne Adams] championed legislation to allow non-citizens to vote in Big Apple elections. It’s time we put common-sense election integrity ahead of partisan politics, and implement voter ID laws to end any question about whether or not people are voting illegally.”
