Note to the North Shore of Long Island: It’s 2026. Time to get some cell phone coverage up there.
The parochial “not in my backyard” groups have blocked one cell tower after another in many parts of the North Shore of Long Island. It isn’t just an inconvenience. It’s outright dangerous.
Landlines are becoming a thing of the past and more people are relying on their cell phones. Get with the program and start erecting the cell towers necessary to get proper reception. People have the right to be able to work from home and to communicate in an emergency.
Enough of living in the past.
