Suffolk County Police arrested the owner of a Huntington Station sports bar and two patrons during a State Liquor Authority (SLA) Inspection.
On February 27, Second Precinct Crime Section in conjunction with New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector, conducted an SLA Inspection at El Cuscatleco, located at 137A Broadway, at 11:05 p.m.
Precinct Crime Section officers arrested the owner, David Banegas-Rodriguez, 43, of Huntington Station, for Disorderly Premise, a misdemeanor, and issued two tickets for SLA violations.
Two patrons at the bar were arrested for possession of cocaine:
William Alas, 49, of Huntington Station, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a felony.
Exon Ruano-Contreras, 30, of Huntington Station, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a misdemeanor.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshals and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement Inspector issued four combined building, fire, and code violations to the owner.
Alas is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on February 28. Banegas-Rodriguez and Ruano-Contreras were issued field appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on March 19.
