Two men have been arrested for allegedly raping a young girl in Roosevelt back in September.
On September 6, 2025, Oscar Rivera Marquez, 20, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Ever Antonio Iraheta Mira, 29, of Franklin Square, allegedly contacted a female victim through social media and arranged to meet. The juvenile victim was allegedly persuaded with an offer to use a marijuana vape. Rivera Marquez and Iraheta Mira then allegedly raped the victim at the Roosevelt Preserve, located at Brooklyn Avenue and Frederick Avenue.
A thorough investigation was conducted and Oscar Rivera Marquez and Ever Antonio Iraheta Mira were arrested.
Both defendants are charged with two counts of Rape in the First Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Marquez was arraigned on February 20 at First District Court in Hempstead. Mira was arraigned on February 21 at First District Court.
