The playbook of the Democrats over the last decade has been to flood the nation with as many illegal immigrants as possible, with the hope that, in the end, Independents and soft Republicans would cave and eventually accede to the overwhelming majority of these individuals being allowed to stay in America.
Their gamble might have cost them an election in the short term, but it is likely to win them big time in the long run.
The withdrawal of ICE troops in Minneapolis sends the message to Democrats and to the radicals that, if they just disrupt enough and create enough chaos in the streets, the establishment and those seeking law and order will ultimately back down to the insurrectionists.
In a previous op-ed, I warned Republicans not to become the Democrats’ useful idiots in the left’s quest to remake America into a socialist nation by integrating tens of millions of illegal aliens into our system.
Unfortunately, Republicans such as Mike Lawler from upstate New York, who hails from a marginal district, started touting the legalization of undocumented immigrants who have not committed further crimes after their illegal entry.
The same retreat was heard from Governor J. Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma and Florida Congress members Carlos Jimenez and Maria Elvira Salazar.
They will rue the day that they caved to this blackmail. As noted by Peter Schweitzer in his book, Invisible Coup, three-fourths of incoming illegal immigrants associate with the government expansionist policies of liberal Democrats and vote accordingly. They have been providing Democrats with the large majority of their votes since the Clinton political team began a concerted effort to add 1.2 million new voters for the 1996 election by weakening the usual standards for citizenship.
When Democrats get control of the presidency and both chambers, they will quickly legalize these millions of illegal border crossers and make them a significant voting bloc that will make it exceedingly difficult for Republicans to retake power in the foreseeable future.
The great Professor Victor Davis Hanson wrote a poignant article on how Democrats purposely create chaos when Republicans control the presidency in order to create an unsettling mood within the public, which doesn’t like messy situations.
The Mid-American citizen wants peace and calm, and will tend to vote for the party out of power with the hope that they will restore it.
That was the modus operandi in 2020, when Democrats created such incredible havoc in the streets after the George Floyd murder, knowing that the public would revolt and seek a change in the presidency to restore order.
This is counterintuitive, of course, since it was the Democrats themselves who caused the chaos. But just like we see with the affordability issue, it’s the party in power that will be blamed
Normally, a plot hatched by Democrats to fundamentally change America by importing tens of millions of illegal aliens would be stifled by public outrage. But we are not in normal times. There is no longer a non-partisan fourth estate. If we had a fair press, editorialists around the nation would eviscerate Democrats for trying to undermine the rule of law and basic American values.
But this is a press corps that has graduated from the same pro-Marxist colleges as have the leaders of the Democratic Party.
They see themselves at CNN and The New York Times, first and foremost as Team Blue. They have done everything they can to paint the insurrectionists in Minneapolis as the wholesome fighters for justice against the evil Gestapo agents at ICE.
The press also glorifies the brigades that harass and dox ICE officers. Could you imagine if a group of people started to monitor when police officers were going to raid the home of a drug dealer and then gather their people to block the movement of the officers, get in their faces and create havoc to hamper the arrest of the drug dealer?
Even members of this press corps would call it outrageous.
But preventing illegal aliens, even those who committed crimes, from being deported, is touted as a public service.
The socialists who control our schools have now even indoctrinated our kids to bolt the classroom and march in opposition to our law enforcement agencies hired to protect them.
The Marxists in academia, teamed with the thousands of taxpayer-funded NGOs, radical activists judges and Team Blue media, have backed the Democrats’ plan to keep the millions of illegals Biden welcomed in so that America is fundamentally moved toward a more socialistic utopia.
Mainstream America exhibited a valiant effort in fighting back, but it appears this withdrawal is a concession that the left is on its way to victory in their quest to remake America into a more socialist nation.
And when that happens, all those who affirmatively answered the poll stating ICE went too far will just have to accept that they surrendered the battle.
