4 Arrested for Allegedly Selling Vape Products to Minors

Suffolk County Police arrested four people for allegedly selling flavored vape products to people under the age of 21 during compliance checks at businesses in Port Jefferson Station.  

In response to community complaints, Sixth Precinct Investigative Unit officers checked 14 businesses  for compliance with laws related to the sale of tobacco products at stores in Port Jefferson Station,  Coram and Mt. Sinai and arrested employees at four stores.  

The following people were charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree: 

  • Emre Bulent Guldur, 28, of Brooklyn, an employee of Elite Tobacco Shop, located at 1030 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station 
  • Tunahan Topan, 25, of Farmingville, an employee of Speedy Mart, located at 1034 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station 
  • Edgar Pastor Arriaga, 41, of Port Jefferson Station, an employee of Rare Clouds Smoke Shop,  located at 525 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station 
  • Ismail Kaya, 29, of Mt. Sinai, an employee of Port Smoke & Vape Shop, located at 683 Old  Town Road, Port Jefferson Station 

All four individuals were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District  Court in Central Islip on a later date.
