A 67-year-old woman is dead after being found in a house fire in Plainview.
On February 7 at 2:27 a.m., Nassau County officers were dispatched to a residential fire on Sutton Drive. Upon arrival, they observed that the house was fully engulfed in flames. The Plainview Fire Department, with the assistance of several other fire departments, responded and extinguished the flames. The woman was discovered inside the residence and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Homicide Squad, Arson Bomb Squad and Nassau County Fire Marshal responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
