A Suffolk County Police officer and paramedics from Stony Brook Fire Department assisted in the delivery of a baby boy in a Stony Brook home tonight.
Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Officer Brian Granata responded to a 911 call reporting a woman in labor in her Parish Court home on February 3 at 9:56 p.m.
When the officer arrived, Stephanie Hollander was in labor in a hallway of the home. Officer Granata assisted paramedics from the Stony Brook Fire Department and delivered a healthy baby boy at 10:16 p.m.
Hollander, 37, and her son were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in good condition.
