Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was struck and killediin Lake Grove.
A female pedestrian was in the roadway of Route 347 at Moriches Road when she was struck by an eastbound 2023 Honda HRV on January 26 at approximately 10:15 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Honda, Sofia Ng, 19, of East Northport, was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
