Fire Breaks Out at Valley Stream Home

A fire broke out at a house in Valley Stream.

On January 20 at 11:40 a.m., Nassau County officers responded to a Roosevelt Avenue residence for a house fire. Upon police arrival, the attic was engulfed in flames and officers safely evacuated a 27-year-old man from the residence.

The Valley Stream Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced residents.

The investigation is ongoing.
