Suffolk County police arrested a Lindenhurst man for allegedly stabbing a CVS employee to death on Christmas Day.
First Precinct officers responded to CVS, located at 20 East Montauk Highway on December 26, after a 911 caller reported the incident that occurred inside the store at 6:50 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man, who was an employee of the store, with a stab wound to his chest. The suspect, later identified as John Pilaccio, had fled the scene on foot.
The victim, Edeedson Cine, 23, of 136 Lennox Road, in West Babylon, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
On December 26, police arrested Pilaccio, 43, of 59 Palm Street, Lindenhurst, was charged with Murder in the Second Degree. He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 27.
