Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a man that occurred in Lindenhurst on Christmas Day.
First Precinct officers responded to CVS, located at 20 East Montauk Highway, on December 25 at 6:50 p.m. after a 911 caller reported the incident that occurred inside the store. When officers arrived, they found a man, who was an employee of the store, with a stab wound to his chest. The suspect, a white man who appeared to be in his 40s, had fled the scene on foot.
The victim, Edeedson Cine, 23, of 136 Lennox Road in West Babylon, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
