File this one in the column of some universities that never change their spots.
Harvard University, which came under national scorn for its indifference to antisemitic attacks on its campus, is at it again.
During the Palestinian protests in 2023, a divinity student on campus named Elom Tettey-Tamaklo was caught on video boxing in a Jewish student on the Harvard campus, restricting his movement and shouting “shame, shame, shame” to the frightened, cornered young man.
He was charged with misdemeanor assault, but treated with a mere slap on the wrist, eventually being sentenced to take an anger management class and provide 80 hours of community service. Many were furious that he wasn’t expelled from the university.
And now, just to pour salt in the wound, the leaders at Harvard just hired this antisemite into one of its teaching programs.
Imagine Harvard hiring a skinhead who had been previously disciplined for attacking African-Americans or gays on campus. There would’ve been a national outcry and the faculty and student body at Harvard would’ve demanded the resignation of the entire Harvard administration. But I guess when antisemites are hired at Harvard, it’s just par for the course.
