A Bellmore woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing debit and credit cards from a gym locker room and using them to make unauthorized purchases.
On November 23 at 3:30 p.m., a female victim reported her debit and credit cards stolen after leaving them in a locker at Crunch Fitness located at 2212 Centre Avenue in Bellmore. The victim’s cards were used to make various unauthorized transactions. On December 21, after a thorough investigation, detectives arrested Angelique Gauthier, 19, of 1406 Newbridge Road.
Police charged Gauthier with two counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, two counts of Identity Theft in the Third Degree and two counts of Unlawful Possession of Personal ID in the Third Degree. She was scheduled to be arraigned on December 21 at First District Court in Hempstead.
