Two people were hospitalized after being hit by a car while walking in a store parking lot in Valley Stream.
Nassau County officers from the Fifth Precinct responded to 500 West Sunrise Highway for an Auto Accident on December 20 at 3:18 p.m. A 28-year-old female was operating a 2023 Nissan when she put the car into reverse and ran into a 39-year-old male and a 34-year-old female who were walking near a Target. The vehicle subsequently struck the barriers in front of the store, causing minimal damage. Both victims were transported to a local area hospital for minor injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and told officers she was not injured.
