Four people — including two juveniles — were arrested for allegedly burglarizing two vape shops.

According to Nassau County First Squad detectives, the suspects would allegedly forcefully enter the premises at the Tobacco Town and Vape Shop, 3395 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, on December 12 at approximately 12:34 a.m., and the Rockville Centre Smoke and Vape, located at 11 North Village Avenue in Rockville Centre on December 12 at approximately 1:18 a.m.

Following a thorough investigation into the above incidents by First Squad Detectives, along with the assistance of the Fourth Squad, the Bureau of Special Operations (BSO), Electronics Squad and the Hempstead Police Department, they were able to identify a white 2016 Nissan Rogue that was used by the subjects and located it on Ormand Street in Hempstead.

Michael Cooper, 30 of 75 Arkansas Drive, North Valley Stream; Jaison Burton, 20 of 95 Wellesley Street, Hempstead; and two male juveniles, ages 17 and 16, were placed under arrest without incident. Further investigation resulted in proceeds from the Rockville Centre Smoke and Vape being recovered from the vehicle.

Police charged all four defendants with Burglary in the Third Degree, Attempted Burglary in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Cooper and Burton are scheduled to be arraigned on December 13 at First District Court. The two juvenile defendants are scheduled to be arraigned on the same day at the County District Court Youth Center.
