A homeless man was arrested for allegedly burglarizing a house in Baldwin during the summer.
On August 4 at 1:03 a.m., Nassau County police officers responded to a Wesley Street residence for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned that a resident of the home had heard their rear door open and then saw Herman L Blunt in their kitchen. Blunt allegedly grabbed a white tote bag containing various items from a table and fled out the rear door.
On December 12, Blunt, 61, was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned on December 13 at First District Court.
