Eastern Long Island was once one of the most Republican and conservative sections of the state. But that was a long time ago. Over the past few decades, more and more liberal New York City residents have made East Hampton their home. As they migrated east, they brought with them their liberal views.
Some vigorously and openly supported illegal immigration and slandered law enforcement that tries to uphold our immigration laws. They label opponents to illegal immigration as racist and xenophobic.
Oh, but when it comes to housing their illegal immigrant friends, that’s where they draw the line. A proposal for 79 units in East Hampton was just defeated by the town board.
Some reverted to the standard “not in my backyard” mentality. Others said that they opposed the proposal, based on the fact that the homes were tied to local businesspeople, who would be able to get the units for their employees. They believed that such a reservation process is not acceptable.
Fair enough, but then redraw the plan to allow 79 units for low-income people. Let’s see how the libs react to that. We are guessing that they’ll react the same way the hypocrites in Martha’s Vineyard reacted when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott shipped illegal aliens to their neighborhoods.
They hugged the illegal immigrants and told the world how much they loved them as they escorted them back on the boats to get them the hell out of their area as quickly as possible.
They were allowed to work there for cheap labor, but God forbid that they would be allowed to live there as well. That’s not happening
