A Baldwin man has been arrested for allegedly shooting three people, one of whom died, in front of a Hempstead residence late last month.
On November 22 at 10:50 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded for a shot spotter notification in the vicinity of Willow Avenue and Kennedy Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found three victims who sustained gunshot wounds. One victim — Amira McCleod, 19 of Queens, New York — was pronounced dead at the scene by a Northwell paramedic. Two male victims, both 20 years of age, were transported to a nearby hospital where they are currently listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
On December 3, police arrested Jacob Mcmillan, 18, of 1501 Wales Avenue, Baldwin in connection with the above incident. Police charged Mcmillan with Murder in the Second Degree, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and Burglary in the Second Degree. He was arraigned on December 3 at First District Court in Hempstead.
