To the Editor:
Thanks for the article on the pure “BS” way the term extension proposition was sold to voters as preserving term limits. (“Courts Should Invalidate Suffolk’s Term Length Referendum,” November 26, 2025) What a crock of mule fritters that was, and it was really offensive to me as a somewhat intelligent voter.
It’s this kind of crap that makes me despise both parties. I voted no on principle, even though I actually think a four-year term makes sense. In a two-year term, all we get out of the elected official is a continuous campaigning mindset instead of focusing on the job they are supposed to be doing. Imagine an elected official actually focusing on DOING their job rather than PRESERVING it.
