Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that critically injured a Patchogue man.
Scott Letizia was driving a 2017 Honda Accord at a high rate of speed southbound on North Ocean Avenue in Patchogue when he drove through the intersection with Main Street and struck the building at 14 South Ocean Ave. at 5:37 a.m.
Letizia, 42, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The Honda was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
