A Valley Stream man was arrested after he allegedly brandished a gun at a landscaper. He was later found to have a knife and another handgun in his possession.

On November 29 at 1:40 p.m., officers from Nassau County’s Fifth Squad responded to a disturbance at a Rose Avenue residence in Valley Stream. Upon arrival, officers were informed that Jesse DeMarco, 38, of 34 Rose Avenue, had brandished a tan handgun at a landscaper on a nearby property. After a thorough investigation, DeMarco was located nearby.
While police attempted to place him into custody, he allegedly became confrontational during the course of the arrest. Further investigation led to the recovery of a Ruger .380 firearm, Sig Sauer nine-millimeter firearm and a switchblade.
Police charged DeMarco with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree and Resisting Arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned on November 30 at First District Court in Hempstead.
