Three People Arrested During SLA Inspection

Suffolk County Police arrested three people during an inspection at a deli in Huntington Station.

Second Precinct Crime Section Officers, New York State Liquor Authority (SLA), Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement Inspector conducted a SLA Inspection at Las Lajas Deli, located at 156 Depot Road, on November 21 at 11:04 p.m.

Second Precinct officers arrested the manager and two patrons during the inspection:

• Carla Rodriguez-Romero, 44, of Huntington Station, the manager at the deli, was charged with ABC Law: Disorderly Premise, a misdemeanor.
• Jose Romero-Moradel, 38, of East Northport, a patron of the deli, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (cocaine), a misdemeanor.
• Ramon Romos, 37, of Huntington Station, a patron of the deli, was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor.

The State Liquor Authority is conducting a further investigation into the establishment, as well as the Town of Huntington Code Enforcement and Fire Marshal, who issued four combined violations. Rodriguez-Romero and Romero-Moradel are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on December 11.

Romos was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 22.
