Suffolk County police have arrested a man for driving while intoxicated after he allegedly crashed his vehicle in Saint James.
Kody Whitton was driving a 2005 Buick Lacrosse westbound in front of 580 North Country Road when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle, struck a utility pole, and then a tree on November 15 at approximately 11:45 p.m. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police later charged Whitton, 28, of 94 Meadow Road, Kings Park, with Driving While Intoxicated. He will be arraigned at a later date. The Buick was impounded for a safety check.
