Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a woman who was walking her dog in Greenlawn today.
A woman walking her dog stepped into the westbound lane of travel in front of 115 Cuba Hill Road and was struck by a 2020 Lexus at 2 p.m. The woman, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore and admitted in critical condition. The dog was not injured.
The driver of the Lexus, Alan Berliner, 87, of Greenlawn, was not injured.
