A Hicsville man has been arrested for manslaughter after he allegedly hit another car, killing that driver.
On November 7 at 11:41 a.m., an 80-year-old male was entering a 2012 Hyundai parked in front of 95 Woodward Parkway when his vehicle was struck by an allegedly stolen 2013 Nissan being operated by a 24-year-old male. The driver then allegedly fled from the scene on foot. Officers located Randy Colon, of 8 Seth Lane, nearby and placed him under arrest without incident.
The victim, identified as Peter Morris of South Farmingdale, suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police charged Colon with Manslaughter in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Incident Resulting in Death. He is scheduled to be arraigned on November 8 in Hempstead.
