Nassau County Legislator John Giuffré and New York State Assemblyman Ed Ra hosted a Medicare Made Clear event at Franklin Square Public Library on April 11. The program was led by Joy Poupko, a Medicare advisor and an experienced insurance specialist for the senior population and was aimed at helping those on Medicare or those enrolling soon better understand the myriad layers and available options. Among the topics discussed were the fundamentals of Parts A, B, C and D, what Medicare covers, when to enroll and the costs involved.

“Navigating through the many layers of Medicare can pose quite a challenge but this presentation provided an excellent general overview and the information shared will help those who attended be better prepared to address their Medicare needs,” Giuffré said.
