Man Arrested for Allegedly Damaging Lawn of Freeport Home

A Freeport man was arrested after he allegedly threw an explosive device on the lawn of a Freeport home.

On September 8 at 7:10 a.m., Nassau County police responded to a Broadway residence for an unknown male subject who allegedly caused damage to the property by throwing an explosive device on the lawn.

An extensive investigation conducted by detectives led to the arrest of  Michael S. Brown, 52, of 106 Liberty Park Drive, who was found responsible for the incident and placed into custody on October 4.

Police charged Brown with Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.  He was scheduled to be arraigned on October 5 at First District Court in Hempstead.
