A pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing the street in North Merrick.
On September 28 at 7:20 p.m., an 85-year-old man operating a 2005 tan Toyota Sienna was traveling eastbound on Jerusalem Avenue when it struck a 68-year-old man crossing the road near the intersection of North Drive. The victim sustained head trauma and was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital. He is currently in critical but stable condition. The driver remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
