Raid at Albertson Spa Yields 3 Arrests

Two of the Women are in the Country Illegally

Three women were arrested by Nassau County police after it was determined that an Albertson spa was a place for prostitution.

On September 25 at 1:35 p.m., an undercover investigation was conducted at Best Spa located at 965 Willis Avenue. It was determined that illegal massages and prostitution were being conducted at this location. Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives placed Zuleica Hernandez, 34, of 1231 Curran Street, Pennsylvania, Guofeng Li Larsen, 56, of 35-15 149th Place, Queens and Mayori Ariza Ascanio, 33, of 6313 59th Avenue, Maryland under arrest without incident.

Li Larsen was also charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession and Prostitution. Hernandez and Ariza Ascanio were also charged with Prostitution. They were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court on October 15 in Hempstead.

Further investigation revealed that Hernandez and Ariza Ascanio are illegally in the United States and are subject to removal proceedings. U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took custody of the defendants.
