
A high school student was arrested on charges that he allegedly sent text messages to other students saying he would shoot up the school.
According to Nassau County Third Squad detectives, East Meadow High School officials were made aware of a message sent by a student to other students on September 21 at 8:02 p.m., indicating that he would bring a gun to school and shoot it on September 22. Police were notified and placed the juvenile, a 14-year-old male, into custody without incident at his residence.
The juvenile is charged with Making a Threat of Mass Harm. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to Family Court.
