Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist and injured a driver in East Northport this afternoon.
David Rivera was driving a 2024 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Pulaski Road when his vehicle was struck by a 2024 Yamaha motorcycle, which was turning left to go westbound on Pulaski Road from northbound on Stony Hollow Road, on September 20 at 2:22 p.m.
The motorcyclist, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was administered first aid at the scene by the East Northport Fire Department and transported to Huntington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Rivera, 29, of Huntington Station, was transported to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries by Greenlawn Rescue.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
