
Suffolk County Police arrested a West Babylon man for leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Wyandanch in June.
On June 13, Hillel Fuld was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Wyandanch Avenue, west of Mount Avenue, at 7:29 p.m. The driver, Jason Jean-Joseph, then allegedly fled the scene, continuing eastbound toward Mount Avenue.
Fuld, 29, of Teaneck, New Jersey, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
Major Case Unit detectives charged Jean-Joseph, 24, of 498 18th St., with Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident for fleeing the scene of a crash.
He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on August 29.
