Nassau County police rescued a man who was reportedly drowning in Wantagh.
On August 10 at 12:04 p.m., 7th Precinct Officers responded to Wantagh Park, located at 1 King Road, for a call of a possible drowning. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 44-year-old man partially submerged in the water. Officers administered chest compressions, at which time the man expelled water.
He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
