One person is dead and three others are injured after two cars collided with each other in East Meadow.
According to Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives, on August 10 at 1:19 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima northbound on Carman Avenue and collided with a 2024 Nissan Altima that was driven by a 57-year-old woman going westbound on Salisbury Park Drive, making a left turn onto Carman Avenue. The 2024 Altima had two passengers: a 55-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman.
All four occupants were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other occupants sustained minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
