Pair Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Two Teens

Suffolk County Police have arrested two people for allegedly stabbing two teens at Peter A. Nelson park  near a fire department fair on Oakwood Road in Huntington Station.

A group of teenagers and young men became involved in an altercation while at the annual Huntington  Manor Fire Department fair, located at 401 Oakwood Road, on July 15 at approximately 8:50 p.m. 

A 14-year-old boy was stabbed and seriously injured. A 17-year-old boy sustained non-life-threatening stab wounds. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment. 

Following an investigation by Second Squad detectives, a 15-year-old was arrested on July 31 and charged with Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree. He was arraigned and remanded to a juvenile detention center.

A 19-year-old male was also arrested by Second Precinct Anti-Crime Unit officers on August 6.  The teen, whose name is being withheld, was charged with Assault in the First Degree. He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on  August 7.
