Event Also Served as a Book and Pajama Drive
Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D-Plainview) visited M.A.T.S.S. Kids Gym in
Syosset on March 3 for their annual Pajama Day.
During the event, which also served as a book and pajama drive, youngsters wore their favorite
pajamas and brought an extra pair to donate. Proceeds of the drive are donated to the Long
Island Pajama Program, which distributed 81,950 sets of new pajamas and storybooks last year
to children in need and reached thousands of children and families through their community
programs.
“Thanks to the generous support of our local community, this program continues to brighten the
lives of countless families and youngsters through simple acts of kindness and caring,” Drucker
said. “I am grateful that M.A.T.S.S. Kids Gym is continuing this wonderful tradition — one that
empowers the Long Island Pajama Program to fulfill its mission of supporting and nurturing our
next generation.”
