Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Centereach today.
Troy English was operating a Honda CVR motorcycle northbound on Wireless Road when he collided with a Honda Civic traveling southbound on Wireless Road that was attempting to make a left-hand turn at the intersection of Lynn Street at 10:09 a.m.
English, 33, of Brentwood, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Honda, Ruth Cohen, 90, of Coram, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
