
Nassau County detectives are investigating an attempted burglary in Bayville after a homeowner spotted a suspicious man trying to break into her house.
On July 28, at approximately 9:17 p.m., the 36-year-old resident of Creek Ridge Road told police she saw an unknown man on her home surveillance system allegedly attempting to enter the property. She immediately called 911.
Before officers arrived on the scene, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, with a ponytail and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and black sneakers.
