Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a dirt bike rider in Brentwood last night.
On June 22 at approximately 7:40 p.m., Bryson Calhoun was operating a dirt bike southbound on Winnie Lane when he turned left onto Winston Drive and crashed into the passenger side of a 2013 Kia Optima that was traveling westbound.
Calhoun, 11, of Brentwood, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Kia, Nettie Tyson, 67, of Brentwood, was not injured. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
