LaLota Was Right to Vote for Defunding NPR, PBS
Long Island Congressman Nick Lalota (R-Rocky Point) did the right thing by switching his position and supporting the Republican bill to defund National Public Radio and PBS.
We don’t know why the congressman would have held out on this commonsense vote that would stop using our tax dollars to fund these media organizations. There’s no question that these outlets are dripping with far-left bias, but that’s not the reason to defund them. The bigger reason is that, with all of the media outlets available today, why should the taxpayers have to foot the bill for any media company? NPR and PBS can say whatever they want, but not on our dime.
Let’s Show Greta What Real Kidnapping Is All About
Pint-sized activist Greta Thunberg is at it again — this time, virtue signaling in a showboating venture to criticize Israel regarding its actions in Gaza.
Thunberg never once expressed concern about how Israel was attacked without provocation, or that many of their citizens are still being held hostage by the brutal terrorists of Hamas. Instead, she was buying into the lies of Hamas media that Israel was denying them essential food. Thunberg had the nerve to put out a pre-recorded post that, if we were seeing it, it meant that she had been kidnapped by the Israeli police.
Really? Maybe Thunberg should be held in captivity the same way that the Israeli hostages are so she can understand what really being kidnapped is all about.
Her venture, and her words, are an affront to western civilization, and especially the families of the hostages who are still held captive by the Hamas thugs that Thunberg has sided with.
Hegseth’s Unforced Error
Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has created significant controversy since his appointment. He deserves great praise for helping to enhance morale within the military and weeding out the woke virus that the previous administration injected. But he must be cautioned about being overly bellicose.
His answer to whether or not the U.S. has contingency plans to take over Greenland was less than satisfactory. He gave a generic response that we have contingency plans for everything. How about just a flat out “No, we have no plans to invade Greenland.” It would’ve been the smarter response and one that aligns more with the United States as being a great benevolent power, rather than an aggressive imperialist.
