A Lakeview man has been arrested for animal cruelty after a dead cat was found at his residence.
On June 13 at 12 p.m., Nassau County officers responded to reports of a possible disturbance at a residence located on Park Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located Azzm Khan, 26, of 571 Park Avenue, inside, along with a dead cat that had been cruelly tortured and killed. Khan was placed under arrest without incident and transported to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment.
Police charged Khan with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and Torturing Animals/Failure to Provide Sustenance. He was issued an appearance ticket that is returnable on July 3 to 1st District Court in Hempstead.
