Long Beach Man Arrested for DWI Crash in Island Park

A Long Beach man has been arrested for a DWI Crash in Island Park.

On June 3 at 12:33 a.m., Fourth Precinct officers responded to 4540 Austin Boulevard for an automobile accident into a building. Upon arrival, officers located Wilson Williams Argueta Pena, 38, of 40 East Market Street, in the driver’s seat of a 2010 Ford F-150, he was unconscious and pinned in the front seat. Nassau County Police Department Emergency Services officers responded and were able to extricate the defendant from his vehicle.

Argueta Pena was removed to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Subsequent to the investigation, he was determined to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest without incident. No other injuries were reported.

Police charged Argueta Pena with Driving while Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle Unlicensed Operator and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
