Six men were arrested for allegedly breaking into into a building in Massapequa and vandalizing it.
On June 4 at 11:34 p.m., officers responded to the Sunrise Mall, located at 1 Sunrise Mall, for numerous males that were inside the building allegedly unlawfully and spraying paint on the walls. Subsequent to an investigation, officers placed the following defendants under arrest at the scene without incident:
- Avan Chemmacheril, 18, of 167 Lafayette Street, Williston Park
- Jashanjot Singh, 18, of 104 Greenway W, North New Hyde Park
- Narain Singh, 19, of 350 Hillside Drive S, New Hyde Park
- Hyunjin Yeo, 19, of 15 Dogwood Road, Albertson
- Julian James Soliven, 18, of 637 Willis Avenue, Williston Park
- Francis Mareendran, 19, of 71 Chaffee Avenue, Albertson
Police charged them with third-degree burglary and Making Graffiti. They were arraigned on June 5 at First District Court in Hempstead.
