
A fire recently broke out in a house in Island Park.
On April 21 at 1:40 p.m., Nassau County Fourth Precinct Officers responded to a house fire on Southard Drive. When they arrived, the side of the home was engulfed in flames and had spread to a neighboring shed on Island Parkway. The Island Park Fire Department responded with the assistance of multiple surrounding Fire Departments to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported at the scene. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
