Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Bureau Deputy Sheriff Investigators, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshal Regional Task Force, arrested 32-year-old Peter Czech, a fugitive from justice from the state of Kansas.
Czech was located and taken into custody without incident in Bohemia. He is currently facing extradition to Kansas, where he is wanted on three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Performance Involving a Minor Under 18, all classified as Level 3 felonies under Kansas State law. Czech was arraigned yesterday in Suffolk County District Court and is being held at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility pending extradition proceedings.
Long Island Life & Politics reached out to the Suffolk Sheriff’s office for more information. According to the agency, Czech is originally from Farmingdale and the crimes he committed took place between August 2023 and January 2024; none of those crimes were committed on Long Island.
No other information was given.
“I commend the efforts of our Deputy Sheriffs and their partners in the U.S. Marshals Task Force for another important arrest,” said Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, Jr. “Their commitment to pursuing fugitives ensures that those who commit crimes—especially offenses as serious as child exploitation– are brought to justice.”
