Huntington Station Man Arrested for Allegedly Driving with 74 License Suspensions

A Huntington Station man was arrested Tuesday after police say he was allegedly caught driving with 74 license suspensions across 12 separate dates.

Suffolk County police said Walter Castillo Ochoa, 45, was pulled over around 5 p.m. by a Second Precinct officer on Maplewood Road near White Pine Court. Officers said Castillo Ochoa was operating a 2010 Toyota without a valid inspection sticker.

During the traffic stop, police said they discovered that Ochoa’s license had been suspended dozens of times. His vehicle was impounded.

Ochoa was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony. He was released on a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
